Two brothers drown on Christmas day in Lagos
Two brothers drowned on Christmas Day at Ibeshe Beach, according to a statement released by the Lagos State Police Command on Thursday.
SP Benjamin Hundeyin, a spokesman for the Command, informed the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Thursday in Lagos that the incident had been reported to the police.
According to him, the incident took place when the brothers and their friends were swimming at around six o'clock in the evening.
According to Hundeyin, the brothers—who go by the surname Adegboyega—were 26 and 23 years old, and Festac Town was home to the family.
The person who took the photo claimed that after the brothers' friends and local divers tried in vain to save them, the incident was reported to the police.
According to Hundeyin, detectives went to the location where the deceased drowned.
He claimed that the family of the deceased was notified of the incident and that local divers were hired to find the bodies.
