Two Chinese nationals kidnapped in Ogun
Two Chinese nationals, Chen Wenguang and Liang Ding, were kidnapped by suspected kidnappers on Sunday in the Kémta/Abule-Owu region along Onigbedu Road in Ogun State.
According to information obtained by DAILY POST, foreign employees of the nearby Good One Carton Company left the business at 1:45 pm to visit friends; no security personnel were there.
The state police command's spokeswoman, Omolola Odutola, confirmed the incident on Monday and stated that the kidnappers had gotten in touch with the business to demand a ransom to free them.
Odutola said, “The company’s security supervisor reported that one of the expatriates called to inform him that Wenguang and Ding had been kidnapped and that the kidnappers were demanding money in exchange for their release.
She mentioned that a manhunt has been launched by state security personnel to find the victims.
“Our operatives in the Ewekoro Division, with the assistance of local vigilantes, military personnel from the Social Orientation and Safety Corps, local hunters, and other security groups, thoroughly searched the entire Kémta Village forest for the duo but were unable to find them.”
