UK-based Nigerian Pelumi Nubi to solo drive from London to Lagos
Nearly two years after professional motorcycle Kunle Adeyanju made the journey from London to Nigeria, Nigerian Pelumi Nubi, who resides in the UK, is scheduled to attempt just that.
On April 19, 2023, Mr. Adeyanju left London and travelled 41 days by motorbike to reach Lagos, while Ms. Nubi will go alone for two months in a car.
The journey will start on Tuesday, according to Ms. Nubi, a travel content maker, who made the announcement on her Instagram page.
She claimed to have spoken with others who had undertaken comparable journeys and discovered that no black woman had ever completed the trek.
