Villagers find lifeless body of abducted Ebonyi Poly deputy registrar
After the corpse of Innocent Obi, the deputy registrar of the Federal Polytechnic, Uwana, in Ebonyi state, was found Tuesday, there was unrest at Ezeala in the Umuezeala autonomous community of the Ehime Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State.
Local resident Obi was reported to have been abducted on Friday from his home in the community.
Tuesday, our correspondent learned from village sources that the victim had travelled from his base to his village for a relative's funeral ceremonies.
Further information revealed that armed guys broke into his home about 10 p.m. and kidnapped him.
According to reports, the villagers organised a search team on Saturday.
A Source Said, “it Was Sunday Afternoon That We Got Information About A Decomposing Corpse Lying Between Ehime Mbano And Ahiazu Mbaise.
“when Our People Visited The Scene On Sunday, It Was The Dead Body of our brother that we met.â€
Another source told our correspondent that the neighbourhood had become uneasy as a result of the deputy registrar's murder.
Henry Okoye, the state police command's spokesperson, said he had not yet received a briefing on the incident when he was approached.
Adline Okeke, the polytechnic's public relations officer, did not reply or answer calls placed to her line.
Additionally, as of Tuesday, when this report was filed, she has not responded to any messages sent to her mobile phone.
