WhatsApp introduces new feature in latest update
Users of WhatsApp may now upload audio notes as status updates thanks to a newly released functionality.
Users can now record and distribute voice notes that are no longer than 30 seconds as status updates using the new voice note feature.
This breakthrough comes months after WhatsApp claimed that an average of 7 billion audio messages are transmitted daily on its network, which saw considerable growth in voice messaging.
The cross-platform messaging service platforms hope to exploit this as one of their new developments in order to appease users who prefer audio notes to text messages. By pressing the microphone symbol on the status screen, you can access this feature.
Tech Crunch notes that in addition to voice status, the most recent version to the app includes a "private audience selector" that enables users to quickly select a privacy option for each status to control who may access their status updates. The status panel now has a new audience picker button that users can use to choose who sees their status updates. The most recent audience choice will be remembered and utilized as the standard for the next status update.
