"When they show you hatred, Labour Party will show you love," Peter Obi retorts
Labor Party presidential candidate Peter Obi spoke out on All Progressives Congress presidential candidate Bola Tinubu on Wednesday over a comment he made about their party that the party and its members found disparaging.
Obi made the remark in Osogbo, the capital of Osun state, at a mega rally to support the party's gubernatorial candidate Lasun Yusuff.
He said, “I listened to our chairman when he said that somebody said that ‘they can labour till death.’ When they show you hatred, Labour Party will show them love. There is dignity in labour.â€
Recall that at the big rally for the re-election of APC candidate Adegboyega Oyetola on Tuesday, Tinubu had said: "They said some are in Labour, they will remain labourers until death".
He also called on the people of Osun to support the party's gubernatorial candidate in order to provide better leadership for the state.
Similarly, LP candidate Lasun berated Tinubu, saying his comment by the APC leader on the Labor Party was inconsistent with the qualities of a virtuous Yoruba man.
