Wike to dismantle APC structure in Rivers state

Nyesom Wike, the governor of Rivers state, has acknowledged that dismantling the All Progressives Congress (APC) structures in his state is a difficult work for him and his staff.

This was stated by Wike on Tuesday at the opening of the Ogbunabali Sandfilled Area in Port Harcourt, the state capital.

The governor acknowledged that although certain Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) party members were trying to divert him, he was actually working on demolishing APC structures in the oil-rich state.

“Some of you, those you rate, you won’t even buy them for a naira. At the appropriate time, I will tell you who they are; the kind of characters we are talking about – people will speak here today, and tomorrow, they will say a different thing. I begin to wonder is it this leader that spoke to me last night? It is very unfortunate,” Wike said.

"Wike and his crew are hard at work here taking down the APC structures and distributing democratic dividends. You only discuss Wike in your own state, he continued.

The governor, who has clashed with Vice President Atiku Abubakar, a PDP presidential contender, claimed he does not belong to the houseboys.

Wike also made fun of a PDP member who was a known "rapist" who attended a meeting with Ibrahim Shekarau, the senator for Kano Central, on Monday in Kano State. Shekarau is a member of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP).
