Will Samsung Pay Stop Working On Non-Samsung Phones?

Samsung Pay is usually associated with Galaxy smartphones. However, non-Samsung phone users are also given access to the mobile payment app, especially those using a Galaxy Watch device. However, some users have started noticing issues with usage.

Users have started reporting that Samsung Pay has stopped working on their non-Samsung smartphones. According to posts on the Reddit and Samsung Members Forums, some users are seeing an error message on the Samsung Pay app stating that their ID is invalid. But that shouldn't be the case.

When speaking to Samsung customer representatives, they reported that Samsung Pay will no longer work on non-Samsung smartphones. However, this answer must be in error as such a big change would have been announced months in advance by Samsung. Even some Galaxy Watch 4 users face this problem.

All these users say that Samsung Pay was working fine on their non-Samsung phones before this issue. Now that Samsung is no longer adding MST to its phones, the appeal for its mobile payment app has waned a bit. If the company makes Samsung Pay exclusive to Samsung phones, more users will stop using it.
