Woman killed lover, put head and penis in a bucket

At her trial, a lady is expected to enter a not-guilty plea on the grounds of insanity for the alleged crimes of decapitating her partner during a sex game and stuffing his severed head and penis into a bucket.

According to online documents, the trial for 25-year-old Taylor Denise Schabusiness will start on March 6 of 2023.

For allegedly killing Shad Thyrion, 25, in February 2022, Schabusiness is accused of first-degree deliberate homicide, mutilating a corpse, and third-degree sexual assault.

Schabusiness's attorneys, however, assert that their client does not comprehend the allegations against her and is not mentally fit to face trial in March.

Schabusiness had taken off an electronic tag she had been required to wear after being convicted of a separate offense just before Thyrion died.

Schabusiness' arrest had been warranted for breaking the terms of her release, but before she could be taken into custody, Thyrion's mother discovered his head in a bucket at her residence on Stony Brook Lane in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

Along with additional body parts scattered throughout the house, the officers who responded also discovered a "male organ" in the bucket.

Schabusiness is accused of telling the detectives they were "going to have fun trying to find all of the organs" after her detention on February 23 of last year.

She admitted to consuming methamphetamine with Thyrion before they went to his mother's house for a bondage sex game, according to the police.

Prosecutors claim that after sexually abusing him, she dissected his body and dispersed its components about the house and into a car.

Officer Alex Wanish of the Green Bay Police Department afterwards recalled seeing a plastic pail on the ground with a towel covering it. They found a human head inside the bucket. '

According to Schabusiness, she informed Green Bay police that she kept having sex with Thyrion's dead body after he passed away because "she enjoyed it."

A police statement said: ”Schabusiness commented that at one point, she did get paranoid and lazy and that she thought it was the "dope" that was making her paranoid."

However, since her detention, Schabusiness has been the subject of two competency reviews, one by a defense expert and one by a state expert.

According to WBAY-TV, Judge Thomas Walsh determined on May 19 of last year that she is competent to support her defense.

Schabusiness's lawyer, Quinn Jolly, said “She’s been psychiatrically hospitalised multiple times, she’s been diagnosed with bipolar and psychotic. This may have been one of her better days, however, I’m very surprised at the result of this report”.

In October, he added, he had recently seen a dramatic decline in his client's ability to understand the case made against her.

However, Matthew Seipel, a psychological expert appointed by the court, maintains that Schabusiness is fit to stand trial.

He said: “I reached the opinion to a reasonable degree of professional certainty that the defendant is competent to proceed in this case”.

Schabusiness is currently being held in custody on a $2 million bond.
