Yoruba actor Kamal Adebayo, father of skit creator Isbae U is dead
Veteran Yoruba actor Kamal Adebayo, also known as Sir Kay, has passed away. He was the father of well-known skit creator Isbae U.
On Tuesday, December 27, Musiliu Akinsanya, alias MC Oluomo, the head of the Lagos State Parks and Garages Management Committee, posted on his Instagram profile that he had passed away.
He wrote, “It is with a heavy heart that I announce the passing of Alhaji Kamal Adebayo (Sir Kay). May Allah grant him eternal rest. RIP Sir Kay.â€
Other Yoruba actors and actresses have expressed their condolences on social media.
Actor Yomi Fabiyi responded to the news by writing on Instagram that hearing of Sir Kay's passing left him feeling weak.
"O di gba kan naa, Sir K Warrior. Wabili Kabbar. RIP senior man. I am weak," Fabiyi wrote.
The comedian has not yet issued a formal statement regarding the passing of his father as of the time of this article.
