Youths protest in Abeokuta, demands justice for Mohbad
In the Panseke neighbourhood of Abeokuta, several youngsters have taken to the streets to protest the death of well-known musician Ilerioluwa Aloba, commonly known as Mhobad, who passed away last Tuesday.
The youths gathered in large groups at the skating rink arena in Abeokuta while dressed all in black and holding signs that said, among other things, #Who off Light and #JusticeForMohbad.
Last but not least, Mohbad, a former signee of Azeez Faashola's Marlian Records and a.k.a. Naira Marley, passed away at the age of 27.
Naira Marley, while mourning the death of Mohbad described him as “more than an artiste or signee but brother and dear friend†to him.
To investigate the enigmatic passing of Nigerian singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, also known as Mohbad, the Lagos State Police Command on Monday established a 13-person special investigative team.
“Do not forget, we have unique access with INTERPOL. Everybody linked to it (the death of Mohbad) will be identified and they will be brought to establish their level of involvement,†Lagos State Commissioner, Idowu Owohunwa said on Monday.
